During public meeting Ecology & Land Management were commissioned to lead a walk with interested parties around the areas of the park designated for ecological enhancement as part of the overall restoration of the park. Ideas for the park were assimilated and considered as part of the scheme. The friends groups was particularly keen and suggested many enhancements such as native tree planting, wildlife boxes, environmental games for children and varying mowing regimes.
